ATOC National Cycle-Rail Awards 2008
The 2008 Cycle Rail Awards were held on Friday 7 November at the Novotel London Euston.
Opening the award ceremony was world record-breaking cyclist Mark Beaumont who shared with the audience tales from his adventure across the globe by bike.
The winners at this year’s Awards were as follows:
Train Operator of the Year - First Capital Connect (FCC)
Best Local Government Contribution - Surrey County Council
Station of the Year - St Albans (FCC)
Customer Service Excellent - Eurostar
Most innovative approach - Hitrans
People Award - Dave Holladay

The Association of Train Operating Companies operates the National Cycle-Rail Awards and welcomes entries and nominations from organisations and individuals throughout Britain.
The awards recognise the progress made by the rail industry and associated organisations towards encouraging the integrated use of the bicycle and travel by train.
